J. Randall Grimes was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Lee High School and attended The University of Texas at Austin, completing his undergraduate degree in 1977. Mr. Grimes attended Law School at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas earning the degree of Juris Doctor in 1981.
Following graduation, Mr. Grimes worked in El Paso for a year and then moved to Georgetown in 1982. He has been practicing law in Williamson County since then, forming his own practice in 1984. Since his arrival in Georgetown, he has handled thousands of cases covering a broad range of subjects such as custody and property disputes across counties throughout central Texas. Since early 1990, Mr. Grimes has devoted the majority of his time to the practice of family law. Currently, he limits his practice to family law in Williamson County, Texas.
Mr. Grimes is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Williamson County Bar Association (he served on the Board of Directors from 1993-1994), and the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section.
Mr. Grimes is currently married and has two adult daughters and a young son.
